Moments.

More explanation to come on my continued effort to separate moments out of our day to day whirl wind of life.  But, these moments.  Sweet time with his Daddy who loves him so much.  These are easy to stand back and be grateful for.  To say thank you Lord that we were given this day to share, and to truly MEAN it.  Gratitude- such a beautiful, eye opening, soul stirring, heaven-gazing practice.

Isn't it easy on a beautiful, sunny perfect day- watching your best friend and husband light up the eyes of your precious baby boy.

I have found when Hayden's not sleeping and when I'm so frustrated and tired, that all I have to do is think of his mysterious eyes and how much I love them.  and say thank you Lord.  They sparkle.  It makes any sleep depravation seem trifling.  and he snuggles me.  buries his little head into my shoulder when he's sleepy.  grabs my hair so hard that I worry he'll end up with a fist full.  but his little laugh, oh we do anything to get that little laugh.

Sweet baby kisses.  They aren't the most comfortable experience, but they truly are sweet (albeit gross). haha.  I'm so grateful for those big open mouth smiles.  Thank you Lord for being so good to me- you know that I don't deserve it.  It's all a gift.

Help our boys to know it too one day Lord.  How lucky and blessed we are, and how much we LOVE them.

a little of this, a little of that...

I'm really loving capturing lots of little moments in our everyday.  It feels hard to find a good way to 'sum up' or describe my little collage of photos... but every time I still want to.

My little cheeser with his big boy hair cut.  Queen city.  Play time.  iPod snuggles.  Roo's the lucky one. sleepin' like a baby.  Such a happy fella.

Life in the Prose house: Razberries with dada.  Giraffes taste good.  Snuggle time with dada.  Silly mama & silly James.  James & AK.  gettin' in shape.  Working on those knees.  Getting good at the backwards scoot to knees.  Dada & Hayden.  Cheeeese!!  Baby plank- impressed!  Trying new hair do...

Hayden: changing a ton these days.

Ok, so I was looking back over Hayden's first milestones- mostly because he has started sitting up by himself with a much better stability and trying to get his little army crawl going!  Those little knees are trying soo hard to get under... mostly now its just little squirmy-creepy-crawling attempts.  I'm a little blow away how fast it has come!!

To summarize (for fun):

Hayden learned to roll over back to front & front to back just about 3.5 months old.  of course its tough to catch on camera, but here is our commemorative shot with his Papa. :-)

November 12, 2011

He found his toes by his 4 month Dr appt.

November 28, 2011

And then it seems like the pace really picked up...

Hayden learned to 'push-up' and get up on his elbows at 4.5 months.  Makes him so much more fun to photograph!!

December 16, 2011

Then came the sweet little tripod move which he learned again at Grammy & Papa's house right before Christmas.  Closing in on 5 months.

December 24, 2011

Not exciting, but I have loved him getting a hold of both feet at once. haha, too cute!!  definitely the 'happy baby'.  :-)

December 26th & 28th, 2011.  Merry Christmas baby.  5 months old.

January rolls around - for Hayden literally - and the sitting up and crawling, scooting, squirming begin.

January 14th, 16th, & 18th, 2012.  5.5 months old.

my my how time does fly.

bed time stories.

My Prose Boys.  James is really beginning to love stories before bed- tonight we mentioned stories, and that was enough to get him running to the stairs calling... "stories aha stories!!"

James is not normally excited to share time with Daddy with him baby bro, but on this occasion, he relented.  I just ate it up.

              "Dada?"                                          "Story"                                    "James"

It was probably one of the cutest things. ever. I love you little Hayden.  And James, you melt my heart. :-)

growing.up.too.fast.

Hayden, where is the time going??  You are growing up so fast little boy.  I can't believe you'll be 6 months old soon!!  but for now, gotta check you out in your first 5 months.  wow how you've changed.  sweet sweet sweet. :-)

Had to go back and find a picture of James wearing the Christmas sleeper that Hayden wore this year.  Of course, it was Christmas in July for James. :-)  Gosh they look so different, granted Hayden is only 5 months and James is about 6.5 months.

James is TWO

Happy Birthday muscle man.  This is 'show me your muscles' :-)

My boy James is 2 years old.  I've been a little bit emotional about it today- mostly just so overjoyed when I look at my little fella.  I feel so blessed to have a healthy, growing, happy boy.  I can't wait to take him to the doctor to see how big he is.  I can't wait to have more conversations with him as he learns to express himself even more.  There are so many things in his life that just plain excite me.  Now, I seriously don't love that his new favorite thing is to lay on the floor and cry when he's upset. haha, but I guess that comes with the territory of being 2.  We're gonna work on that one. :-)

I am so grateful that the Lord has given him to us, and I hope we never take him for granted.  That is something I hope to do: be thankful for every day that I'm given with both my boys.

Here is some birthday fun.  James the fly boy.

Birthday balloooooons!

Toddler buddies.  Thanks for sharing in James' birthday.  We loved spending time with you!

the dilema.

To blog or to sleep?? THAT is the question.  haha, I laugh because these days it seems that my choices for
'me' time include personal hygiene and sleep, and if any other activity is introduced, one of those must be sacrificed.  Luckily for those of you who see me often, I do most often sacrifice just a little sleep when I am blessed with some extra energy like this evening...

So some Christmas memories. You will have to indulge my tardiness of these posts; and they may keep coming. haha.  Without further ado... A little bit of naughty and nice.  or as I like to call it, ornery.

The photographer behind this lense: Matt Prose.  Never a dull moment.

Prose boys at their finest.  All our family gatherings have some images where these things happen, and usually they are not photo worthy, but I decided this time, they are. :-) haha.

James' first tricycle!! :-)

a little more ornery... "try it on! try it on!"

James literally held still for about 2 seconds.  I could not believe that he's starting to say cheese and smile for the camera!!  Now we just gotta work on the duration...

Merry Christmas Hayden- 1st Christmas!!  You did so well opening all your gifts; it actually surprised us!  We didn't think you'd be into it at all, but you were totally.  Even the clothes! haha.  What a sweet fella you are and we just adore you.  So does the rest of the family too. :-)

There's a smile... My boys and me. :-)

Our matchy outfits for the three little Prose boys- They looked soo cute together!  Too bad they aren't sitting for pictures these days... oh the outakes!  Best group shot right here.

Too cute.

Dimples. :-)

"oooo What did I get??"

aahh. could just eat him up.
