New clothes for the New Baby!

Since we are having another little BOY, I have already started pulling out James' clothes to try to sort through what will work for this little fella, and what I can go ahead and get rid of.  I came to realize that all of James' clothes size 3-6 months are for the summer, and this little boy will only be wearing those if mommy does some creative layering!! So, my goal in buying something new and something blue for our boy, currently nicknamed Carson Daily, was layering pieces for that size.  I knew exactly what I wanted to buy!

I LOVED these reversible pants and jackets for James.  They are so nice and thick, and so versatile!  I couldn't resist the cute little fishies to match. :-)  Happy day little boy, your first baby gift.

The Zoo!!

We finally got to take our little monkey to the zoo!!  He was given a year membership for our family as a Christmas gift from his Uncle Mike and Aunt Natassja, and we have been waiting for the chance to go!  Its always tricky when you have to match weather AND Matt not being on call.  But, we did it!

We went to the Asheboro Zoo, which is divided up into North America and Africa.  We were able to get through the whole park in about 5 hours, which is saying something because we walked from the one side to the other, and back!!

Check out the 'marsh' exhibit- it make us a little homesick for good ole F-L-O-R-I-D-A and its marsh lands.  The gators were not the favorite; that's old news.  Can we go out on the boat soon??  haha, gotta find a life jacket for our little man first!

We have really been enjoying taking our walks in this awesome Spring weather with our new stroller!  We took it to the zoo for its awesome sun shade and the height that James can sit.  We thought there couldn't be a better seat in the house. :-)  We got this stroller because it converts to a double stroller with a second seat attachment, and we are so excited to use it with baby boy Prose when he gets here!!!

Check out our little map reader, haha.  Where to next James?

One of the potential favorite spots in Africa was this view of the Giraffe, Zebra, and Ostrich exhibit.  As you can see, he was too excited by the exhibit to even turn around for the picture, haha.  Our little buddy was loving every minute.

Second potential favorite: the chimpanzee who was actually carrying a 7.5 month old baby around her waist.  My favorite pose of the day was when he saw the animals and would jump and point and scream! haha, it was awesome.

Chimpanzee baby!! (actually, this is I don't want to wear this hat mom)

North American favorite candidate #1: The elk.  Don't tell him that his Papa has shot one! haha.  He loves these guys, as you can see from the swinging little legs, which his momma LOVED looking at all day! haha, I can't get enough of those little legs.

I SEE HIM!!!

The Double Point! haha, my goofy boy.

Our tired little fella did great on the 2 hour ride there and back, and for a reward, we had enough energy to have Bratwust on the grill, tater tots, and baked beans for dinner sitting on our back porch.  Best day?? yes.  Finished it off with a little guitar before his bath and bed.  He loves to play guitar with his daddy. :-)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

First of all, when I was growing up, St. Partrick's Day was my brother's birthday first.  If you didn't wear green in our house, he got to pinch you!  (and he pinched hard as I recall, haha)  I'm sorta glad that no one tries to pinch me these days! :-)

So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSH!!  Followed by... HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!

James got a special St. Patty's Day outfit from his grandparents, which warranted a photo shoot.  Of course, they knew his mommy loves any kind of new outfit, and James loves balloons more than anything else!  Our little leprechaun had a blast playing outside today.  It was beautiful!!

Our boy is 'lucky' that his Daddy is so good lookin.... :-)

Gotta give my little man a hug when I can get it!!

Gotta make sure to say hi to his baby brother!

To eat this stick, or not to eat this stick.  THAT is the question.

Check out this 'cheese' face!  Hope everyone had a great day.

Oh BOY oh BOY! It's a BOY, it's a BOY!!

I feel like replaying that scene from Lady and the Tramp when the baby is born and the new daddy runs around the house yelling, "Oh boy, oh boy, It's a boy! It's a boy!!"  That is how we are feeling right about now. :-)

Check out my sweet little boy's face!!

Check out my sweet little boy's precious froggy legs! haha, I love that little behind!! :-)

I would post a pic of he little boy parts, BUT I'm gonna keep that one for our eyes only. haha, in some ways, I wouldn't ever post a picture of his little man parts after he is born, so none here now either!  BUT, little BUTTS are fine.

Little man, we can't wait to see that little face for ourselves soon enough.  And the big question everyone keeps asking is: Will you be a red-head too?? hahaha

here I go, go, go, go, on an adventure...

Here I go....

go...

go...

go...

on an adventure!! haha, I love that I caught this little gem of a shot.  Not to worry, he was not hurt even though it looks like he is plummeting to the ground from the wind in his hair!  He's getting very talented at gracefully landing- most of the time. :-)

James, I love your hair.

I love James' hair.  I love that it's red; I love that it's cute and curly when its wet; I love that he has a little 'frat' boy do and his curls stick out the back of his little baseball cap.

I just love it.  Can you blame me?? I have to document this hair before it gets so crazy that we have to cut it!

Oh, the fluffy-ness. haha

The shampoo-mohawk-do...

Check out those cute little curls.  No, they don't really stay when it dries, but the ones in the back do the most.

I love you my blue eyed, red headed boy.

Is it March already??

Welcome March 2011.  I'm not going to lie, but I can't believe February is already gone.  I'm still feel like we JUST celebrated James' 1st birthday!  I've been terrible about taking pictures lately, and so I'm making up for it a little today.  Thankfully, my family always bails me out and takes a ton of pictures- so I don't always have to!  Which, is a blessing- and I actually get to be in the pictures for a change. haha

So, soon, I will get to share some pictures from our Prose family ski trip when I have some!!

I thought to usher in March, I would share a picture of my chubby cheeked baby from March 1, 2010.  How cute is this little smile??

And of course an adorable smiles from March 1, 2011.  This little fella was cracking me up at dinner tonight.  and I thought he was cute as a baby... haha

What's that you said??

I said, super c-u-t-e. haha. That was for you Matt Prose.
