Mimi & Grandpa came to visit, and we were able to surprise her with a cake for her birthday! She is usually the one to make birthday cakes, but this time we were able to sing to her. It seems like we don't normally get to do this, so it felt really sweet.
I'm going to guess that is was the first Wyldlife meeting. Calvin and David went too and are next to Hayden in this picture. James is in the back with his bucket hat on!
Calvin lost a tooth at the soccer field. Glad he didn't actually lose it at the field! What a gorgeous day that was outside - that blue sky is something.
This is what we do these days. Height check! Not taller than his daddy just yet... but so close!
This is my Lego minifigure. I thought James did a great job choosing my hair and my neutral shirt with ripped jeans, haha!
Hayden before braces - Hayden with his braces! Thank the Lord he got his tongue tamers off, although the braces themselves have been not that much fun. He will have a beautiful smile and better long term health for his teeth after having these adjustments made. Poor kiddo had some overbite and the gap in his teeth, so this wasn't cosmetic.
Calvin wanted to be Toad for Halloween this year, so I couldn't say no to that! How absolutely hilarious is this who get up?? He cracked me up! David wanted to be Mario, and this gave us the perfect opportunity to have somewhat of a family costume. So fun :-)
Matt and I went to the Florida game, and we had a great time. We haven't gone to one of these games in so long, and Matt loves going. I'm glad we got the chance.
Oh my, the toasters!! These little goofy cat toys were prizes given out in his ES class, and his classmates went nuts for them. These were the most nonsensical little things, but they gave us such a laugh!
Good grades always deserve Dairy Queen! We have lots of rewards at our house for the boys' hard work at school.
The James Mini Fig! These little creations really crack me up. I love them so!
There are few pictures this month as we got back into the daily school rythyms. Thank you Lord for the ones we do have that mark the little milestones in our lives. Thank you for your new beginnings, no matter how small. It is a strange and lovely thing to have a childhood marked by educational years; it continues to feel like you are moving towards something. And yet, when those yearly progressions end, it seems as though aging stops as well. It is a wonderful experience to watch your children grow up. Thank you Lord for this invaluable blessing to me - I will forever be grateful. Amen.
