Decemberrrr

December 2019, you feel like so long ago, and yet it was only a year. As I write this, playing catch up on days gone by, it feels surreal to look at images from a year ago as life looked as it had for so long. I am humbled to see how different 2019 and 2020 looked as I compare; looking forward to our new year in 2021, it seems as if anything could change, yet again. Or, it could try to find its way back somewhere in between. Either way, the Lord is on the throne, and I am grateful for what He has given me. May He continue to teach me to receive what he gives with open hands and gratitude in my heart.

David at church, the first Sunday I could ask all the boys to wear Christmas plaid and definitely not the last.

Our family pictures just didn't happen, but luckily I used our family selfie from our beach vacation. It was perfect with that caption, and I absolutely loved this card!

Our basic training candidate came home as a graduate! The boys were so excited to see him, and so were we all. We threw a little party in his honor.

It's full fledge Christmas mania around here. My favorite thing from Mrs. Tyree's rainbow class: These pictures of my 3 year old boys riding reindeer!! So funny, so cute.

Who can pass by a Christmas tree hat like this at target and not buy it? YL Christmas style.

I have no idea what James is doing on his phone, but I can say we bought him a phone. He went on a field trip that I couldn't chaperone, alllll the way in Ocala, and I couldn't handle not hearing from him from 6am-5pm. So we got him a phone, he texted us pictures all day, I tracked his location, and it was honestly so great. I loved getting to hear all about it from him, in real time. and he loved getting a phone, haha.

These leather chairs & our puppy during Christmas time gave me all the heart eyes.

Ok Kayla Breeding. Now you've gotten me totally hooked on your secret salsa recipe. I'm both so happy and so sad. haha!

This Christmas wrapping paper is the best. Stripe, classic Santa print, and brown paper packages all tied up with string. Classic.

Our sweet Anna Marie GOT MARRIED!! David was in her wedding, so he got to go with Matt&I to the celebrations. How precious was he? and how gorgeous was Anna Marie!

The Prose boys see Santa 2019. I love that the older boys are such good sports.

Jingle bell run at school, and Calvin's cheering section (Hayden and Ford at recess). After the run, Calvin got to recite his 'Night before Christmas' poem with his class, and he was awesome. I loved getting to come watch him.

Ok, cookie stamps are a thing that I had never heard of, but thank you Joanna Gaines! Her Chocolate Shortbread recipe is honestly one of my favorite cookies. so so good! The stamp & recipe tea towel ended up being my gift to a few of my favorite girl friends.

Star Wars, you will always have our attention. This movie was honestly such a treat! The boys loved getting to go see the premier!

YL Christmas Party!! and that was a wrap for school & YL for 2019.

The boys got to enjoy going down to Mimi&Grandpa's before Christmas to get all their presents. I loved getting them all dressed up in their Christmas shirts for Sunday church with Grandpa. So we had to snap a picture or two with Mimi's tree.

Christmas Eve Eve Christmas at Mimi&Grandpa's!

Uncle Matt got Max and Nora and Calvin with the tickles. Love seeing the boys enjoy playing with their cousins.

Uncle Dan brings the cribbage games, and my boys are here for it. Even if it is Mario instead of James.

Headed home on Christmas Eve to be in bed when Santa came! These boys were too much fun, and they enjoyed every minute of the Christmas chaos. We did have homemade cinnamon rolls though!

A new cup and an even better view. Love my family so much!

My cousin Lucas and his wife Delana with their precious baby girl!

Grammy&Papa made it on Christmas Day!! Let the Christmas fun continue! With lots of Treezyn camo hats. :-)

The boys showing off their new soccer gear from Mimi&Grandpa. These have been the best gifts-having them has made our life so much easier when it is practice time.

We had the chance to drive down to Sea World to see one of the last whale shows with Matt's cousins & their families. We love getting to see this side of our family.

Happy New Year! A little fireworks in the front yard to ring in the new year. Here we go 2020, haha.

Thank you Lord for an incredible year. 2019 was truly FULL. Full in all the routine ways, all the annual things we look forward to every year. Thank you Lord for filling us up-you have given so much. Despite what has changed, we still have so much to be thankful for. I am grateful for the faithfulness of the Lord. Amen!
