James didn't mind keeping his feet up, and he wasn't in too much pain. His brothers were looking forward to seeing him in the morning, and looks like they brought his little gifts to help him feel better.
James was able to go in for a follow up appointment, and they gave him a boot instead of a hard cast! Yay! This break a small one, and the healing process would be relatively easy and quicker than other injuries. We were all glad to hear this good news.
It was time to go up to GA and celebrate Christmas with Grammy & Papa! I loved this Christmas paper. So pretty.
injured Jimmy with Biscuit helping him feel better.
Oh Yeah - James got another big Star Wars Lego set! And Calvin got a box of all kinds of glowing things- including light up mittens!

A Star Wars shirt for James and some Soccer cards for Hayden.
This is the magic of Christmas. haha!!

So many lovely gifts for our boys & so much fun. What an absolutely lovely Christmas.
Homemade cookies from Aunt Michelle! So beautiful but so good, you gotta eat them.
Our Christmas dinner this year was a labor of love! Matt made Beef Wellington, and it was really good. It took him a lot of time and effort, and it was a special treat. I made some scalloped potatoes, bacon and brussels, and the amish dinner rolls. So good.
This meal and a cup of hot chocolate in my new Elf mug! I love this mug so much!
Some more sweet gifts from Mimi&Grandpa who joined us for dinner. It is always better when we get to be with our family.
Crunch Labs for Calvin!
And he was done already! Only took him 4 days!
We decided to go our to Fort Clinch to see if we could find sharks teeth on the shore with the boys. It was obviously a cool day out, and the wind on the coast will make you feel so much colder. I don't think we found anything out there, but had to try after talking to someone about finding some really great shark teeth there. James was a trooper and was ready for the fresh air. He got around well on his boot. A beautiful, cold day in Florida!
Thank you Lord for a wonderful year. This was really a special one - two boys in middle school and two boys in elementary. An amazing family trip to England for my 40th birthday. The joy of being with our family, and we know that isn't guaranteed. We've had lots of lows this year, but those don't make the book. I don't mean to hide them, but they won't be on the internet or in the memory book. Instead, I know we will remember the lovely little moments while our boys were growing up. Those are the ones I don't want to forget- so those are the ones to include and share. Thank you Lord for your goodness and faithfulness to us, always. We know we can trust you no matter what happens! Help us to hold on tight, Amen.
